stopping to think

some snaps whilst on holiday in Scarborough town, enjoy.

been doing a lot of soul searching the past few days..

"she left pieces of her life behind her everywhere she went. it's easier to feel the sunlight without them, she said." story people.

"failing is not failure. failing is learning."

"character is how you treat those who can do nothing for you."

"don't spend time watering a relationship that is dead. it died for a reason."

"certain people naturally remove themselves from your life - or rather God removes them because He knows they don't really care about YOU. just about what you can do for them to fulfill their own desires. let them go."

"mistakes don't define you - they shape and change you."

"even fairytale princesses know you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you finally get your knight in shining armour." sad..but true.. the more days that pass only prove it..

"it hurts but let it go. you're worth more than what they think of you - your worth is far above rubies."

"spending time with God puts everything else into perspective."

"you can't see what I'm doing now but someday you will" [paraphrase, Jesus]

"be patient. work on yourself while you wait. wait patiently for the Lord"

"so I'll always be the one that got away. thank God I got away..."

lost ground

hello blogger.. long time no see.

time for a short catch up on where I've been in the past 5 months?

MARCH: AMSTERDAM

MAY: END OF CASTLE PROJECT / END OF DIPLOMA STAGE

more on my IAD blog and my personal folios.

IN-BETWEEN:

holidays (time off/ breaks), a lot of barbecues (a lot of eating - international food day today was *excellent*), cold days, hot days, the arrival of spring and its blossom-full beauty, and now the arrival of summer (27'C+ today, what!) coupled with loads of model-making (I'm improving!!) and generally working like crazy when not relaxing like crazy.

so it's just been busy, really busy - and we all know how poor my blogging skills are :0

but that's why this is an occasional photo journal, and not a real blog ;)

January 27, 2017

happy new year!

Been so blessed by the video and music in this video recently.

So I haven't posted for a while and haven't been able to keep up with blogging the way I would like, but hey, my disclaimer does say that posts may not be regular ;) Not that that's a good excuse.

Happy new year anyway guys (yes I know January is nearly over - don't judge me).

Thought the first post of the new year should be accompanied by a sketch I have done this afternoon based on a Bible verse:

Isaiah 40:31King James Version (KJV)

31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

This is a scripture I look to for encouragement to keep praying and pressing on. My desires and prayers for this year are that God will lift me up to higher ground than I found last year.

I believe that if your life as a Christian is not progressing something is very wrong. We should move further with God daily, not be at standstill. Growth is necessary to see in the life of a believer, from babyhood to adulthood.

It will soon also be the Chinese or lunar new year (tomorrow being the first day) so maybe this is also something my Christian Chinese readers can bear in mind.

God bless guys! Hope to post more regularly. Posts may have pictures sometimes but I think I'll be posting more on Christian matters as well as arts. Probably be both combined!
